How to Effectively Use Video in Your Digital Strategy
As a real estate agent, you use your personality to stand out from the crowd. A photo can only say so much, and written content is only useful if there’s someone out there reading it. So what’s the fastest and easiest way to get your ideas to the masses while showcasing your winning personality and gaining fans along the way?
The answer is video. If you think that digital content is good for your brand, think of video content as the top of the top. It’s the best way to be engaging, show your personality, and get information and visuals across to clients at the same time.
Here are 6 ways you can effectively use video in your digital strategy.
1. Video Tours
This concept might not seem like the most innovative, but today’s savvy real estate agent is using these videos to market themselves in a funny and dynamic way. They’re selling homes by hiring actors or creating amusing scenarios that not only showcase the property, but also leave an impression on the viewer. These videos incorporate scenes that show the true feel of living in the home and can translate a deeper message to viewers.
2. Up Your Game
With today’s video technology, it’s critical that agents are aware that production value matters. If something looks cheap and amateur, it will certainly turn off any potential buyers who were planning to contact you.
This doesn’t mean spending thousands of dollars in video equipment, but if you can invest in a good camera with a microphone or a drone to get some stunning aerial shots of the neighborhood, that’s always a good idea.
3. Outsource It
If you are not comfortable with the idea of creating videos on your own or you simply don’t have the time, consider outsourcing it. Although it’s an additional cost, the ROI will most likely be worth it in the end.
4. Candid Videos
A great way to showcase your personality is by posting short, fun, yet professional videos to social media. These could be as simple as posting as you walk to an appointment or give your followers an update on something exciting you have been working on. Make sure you have something interesting to say and keep it light for these types of videos because your viewers will most likely be watching them in passing.
5. Behind the Scenes Videos
Content that gives an inside-look at something is popular. For a real estate agent, this could be filming a video about a certain aspect of your day that might be unknown to non-real estate professionals.
These types of videos can be informative but should also have a level of fun to them that will keep viewers entertained.
6. Be Consistent
When it comes to producing any type of content, it’s important to always be consistent. Whether you’re writing blogs or filming videos, try to always keep up with it and produce consistent content on whichever platform you choose. This might mean scheduling filming into your daily routine or putting time aside each week to brainstorm. You can even come up with a content calendar for your filming and posting schedule.
